ICC Test Ranking: Virat Kohli becomes the 'King' of Test cricket behind Steve Smith

According to the latest Test rankings released by the ICC, Indian captain Virat Kohli has overtaken Australian batsman Steve Smith. Virat Kohli has overtaken Smith due to playing a century in the historic Pink Ball Test match played against Bangladesh recently. In terms of numbers, Virat Kohli has 928 points, which has made him the number one batsman in Test cricket. Australia's Steve Smith retains the second spot with 923 points.
New Zealand captain Ken Williamson is third with 877 runs. Joe Kohli and Smith are far behind. Cheteshwar Pujara is ranked fourth with 791 points, while Australia opener David Warner, who scored an unbeaten 335 runs in Adelaide, has taken 5th place with 12 jumps. At the same time, Indian vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane occupies the sixth spot with a loss of one place.
On the other hand, Australia's Marnus Labushen, who scored the highest score in Test cricket so far in 2019, got six places and is sitting at 8th place with 731 points. In this way, India's three batsmen Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane are in the top 10.
There has not been much change in the bowling rankings. Australia's Pat Cummins occupies the top spot with 900 points, while Kagiso Rabada is in second place with 839 points.
