Currently this feature is being rolled out only for WhatsApp group chats. According to reports, this feature can be rolled out soon for individual chats.

On iOS, this update is getting the version number 2.20.10.23. At the same time, this version number for Android has been rolled out from 2.19.275. WABetaInfo stated that this feature can only be used by group administrators at the moment and can set the time for a message to be deleted manually. This feature gets an hour, a day, a week, a month and a year option to delete the message.
