'Luck is for him too, for he has no hands' - 28-year-old JillumlMarriott Thomas from Kerala has become the first woman driver in the country to drive a car without a hand. In 2018, she was licensed on a court order. Jillumal uses her own two legs for driving. Jillumal suffers from thalidomide syndrome. This disease does not normalize the development of children's hands and feet.

Jillumal is a graphic designer. Her father is a farmer and mother is a housewife. From her childhood, she was fond of driving a car. She learned designing as well as driving. In 2014, she went to the RTO office for the first time to create a driving license, but she was not cleared by the authorities for a license.

Jilumel drives an automatic car, but getting a driving license was not easy. She knocked on the door of the High Court. During her hearing in the year 2018, she mentioned Vikram Agnihotri. He is the first person in the country to receive a hands-free driving license. She also showed a video of an Australian woman driving a car without a hand in court. Finally, the High Court accepted Jillumal's application and the RTO granted it a license.

"Many men in our country have a driving license, but there is no female driver," says Jillumel. I bought a totally automatic car in 2018 for my hobby. This car is designed according to the RTO guidelines. Currently, Jillumal has become the first woman in the country to drive a car without two hands.
