The Next Web gave the first information to this app. According to them, the Arogya Setu App uses the official database of infected people. However, no information has been provided by the government in this regard.

The COVID-19 tracker app currently supports 11 languages, including Hindi and English. Apart from this, it uses Bluetooth to access the location. To use the Arogya Setu app, first of all the user has to register his mobile number in it. After completing the first step, the app will ask users for credentials, which is optional. For those who were worried about the privacy policy of the app, the government has claimed that the store data in the app is 'encrypted' and will not be shared with any third party app.

As soon as the app goes to the home screen, the app tracks the user's location to see if it is in a safe place. Not only this, Android users can also read Health Ministry live tweets on this app. The features are almost the same for Android and Apple users.

Last week, news came that the NITI Aayog is also working on a Corona virus tracking app, named CoWin-20. Next Web claims that the Arogya Setu is the final version of the CoWin-20.
