BSNL extends validity of work from home plan till May 19, while Vodafone-Idea resumes double data offer
Telecommunications companies are making many changes to their plans due to the lockdown imposed in the fight against coronavirus. Most of the telecom companies in the country have extended the validity of prepaid plans till May 3. The state-run telecom company BSNL last month announced a work-from-home plan for broadband users. Now the company has extended its validity till May 19.
In BSNL's Work from Home plan, landline users get 5GB data plan of 10Mbps speed for free for 1 month. Once the data limit is met, the user gets 1Mbps speed. The plan is now valid till May 19. All circles in the country will benefit from this plan.
Vodafone Idea launched a double data offer
Vodafone-Idea has launched a double data offer on Rs 299, Rs 449 and Rs 699 prepaid plans. Users will be able to use double data when recharging this plan. However, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Kerala, Maharashtra, Goa, North East, Punjab and West Uttar Pradesh will not get the benefit of this plan. Users in other circles will be able to take advantage of double data.
The prepaid plans of Rs 299, Rs 449 and Rs 699 offer 1.5GB of data per day, validity of 28 days, 56 days and 84 days respectively. Under the double data offer, customers will be able to avail 3GB of data per day.
