Trai issued advisory before checking video conference carefully,
Video conferencing has seen an enormous rise amid lock downs. Everything from children's classes to office meetings is being done through video conferencing, but within the meantime, many of us have complained about money being cut. The Telecom regulatory agency of India (TRAI) has issued an advisory in this regard. Some people recently complained about video calling and online audio calling, during which they said that they should pay huge amount after calling. Is lying After the complaint, TRAI has said in its advisory that before joining any online video or audio call, get information about its terms and costs .
Tie has stated, 'It has been seen that some people are charged for international video and audio calling. In such a situation, it's important to carefully read the terms of use of the app you are using for video and audio calling, otherwise many of us inadvertently dial international numbers and in such cases ISD rates are applicable. Recently, some people had complained that a lot of companies had to pay money during customer care premium and international number calling. ISD charges have also been charged on many numbers.
It is to be noted that last month itself, TRAI gave an exemption to extend the international call to the destination (call termination charge) in a radius on Friday. Earlier it had been 30 paise per minute which has now been reduced to 35-65 paise per minute. Telecom companies are expected to profit from this.
The international call termination fee, the Indian operator (ILDO) handling long distance calls internationally, has got to pay to the network operator of the destination overseas. With this, the domestic company on whose network ends the decision from abroad gets the amount of this fee.
