The government has canceled the CBSE standard 12 examination this year. The decision was taken at a meeting held today. The meeting was also attended by CBSE Chairman, Education Ministry Secretary, Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nirmala Sitharaman, Piyush Goyal, Dharmendra Pradhan and Prakash Javadekar. The meeting is being held via video conferencing. According to sources, the meeting will present to the Prime Minister all the options related to holding the examination. These options have been formulated after lengthy discussions with state governments and the CBSE board. Earlier, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank was scheduled to take a decision on board exams today, but his health has deteriorated and he has been admitted to AIIMS.
Big news is coming for CBSE Standard 12 students. A meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today decided to cancel the Std-12 board exam. The decision has been taken because of the Corona case in the country. It is important to note that the parents were also in a dilemma with the students regarding the standard 12 examination. Now this decision has been taken in the interest of millions of students in the country.
The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday. At the meeting, he was briefed on the suggestions received from all the states and stakeholders and all the options that came up after extensive deliberations.
Kejriwal had demanded cancellation of the exam
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had demanded cancellation of the exam. He tweeted that the parents are very worried about the standard-12 examination. He wishes that the examination should not be held without vaccination. I appeal to the Central Government that the standard-12 examination should not be held. Students should be evaluated based on their past performance.
