QS Ranking 2022: These are the world's top 10 universities, see also the list of best institutes in India



QS World Ranking

QS World University Rankings 2022 has been released. A total of 35 institutes of India have got place in this. Out of these, there are 7 institutions that have made their place in this list of best universities in the world for the first time. A total of 1300 universities in the world have been named in this year's QS World Ranking. Last year, QS released the list of top 1000 universities in the world. In which 21 universities of India got a place. In this article, we are telling you the names of top 10 universities in the world according to QS Ranking 2022. Along with this, a list of educational institutions of India has also been given which have made their place in this global ranking.

The QS ranking receives approval from the International Ranking Expert Group (IREG), and is viewed as one of the three most-widely read university rankings in the world, along with Academic Ranking of World Universities and Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

What is meant by QS ranking?


The QS World University Rankings by Subject ranks the world's top universities in individual subject areas, covering 51 subjects. The rankings aim to help prospective students identify the world's leading schools in their chosen field in response to high demand for subject-level comparisons.

This year too, MIT has been ranked as the best university in the world. This university located in Cambridge, USA has scored 100 out of 100.MIT has been ranked as the top university in the world in the latest QS World University Rankings. This marks the sixth straight year in which the Institute has been ranked in the No. 1 position.

The UK's Oxford University is at number two with a score of 99.5. Its ranking has improved a lot. It was last ranked 5th in the list of QS rankings.

Stanford University of America has slipped a notch. It is in third place with a score of 98.7. Last year it was the second best university in the world.

Cambridge University

Cambridge University's score is also equal to Stanford's i.e. 98.7. This UK university has established a place on par with Stanford in America. Last year its rank was 7th.

Harvard University

Harvard University


Harvard University in Cambridge, USA, is in fifth place with a score of 98. Harvard's scores have risen but positions have fallen. Last year it was at number three with a score of 97.9.

California institute of technology

This US-based institute (California Institute of Technology) is ranked sixth with a score of 97.4. Whereas in last year's ranking, it was at the fourth position with a score of 97.

ETH Zurich


Switzerland-based Swiss Federal Institute of Technology ie ETH Zurich has secured the 8th position with a score of 95.4. Last year it was ranked sixth with a score of 95.

UCL London

UCL London


The UK university UCL London is on par with ETH Zurich with a QS score of 95.5. It was ranked 10th in last year's ranking. The score was 92.9.

University of Chicago

University of Chicago


The University of Chicago, USA, possesses a score of 94.5. This year it's at the last position in the list of World's Top 10 Universities. Last year it had been ranked 9th with a score of 93.1.
