Seventh Pay Commission / benifit to 1.12 crore government employees, the government announced 5 big reliefs
Many announcements have been made by the Government of India to provide relief to central employees. The government's announcement will benefit 3 lakh employees and more than 20 lakh pensioners. The announcements include benefits like dearness allowance and dearness relief, which will have a direct impact on 1.18 crore central government employees.
Dearness allowance and Dearness relief allowance
The Union Minister of State for Finance had announced in the Rajya Sabha that from July, according to the Seventh Finance Commission, inflation allowance and inflation relief allowance would be available to central government employees. However, no announcement has been made by the government. The National Council of JCMs, which has been raising demands for central workers, has claimed that the cabinet minister has assured them that DAs and DRs will be started by September.
House Building Advance
There has been a lot of talk from the government about house building advances to provide relief to central employees. The government has recently issued guidelines on house building advances. In July 2020, the central government had slashed house building interest to 7.5 per cent. This rate will be applicable till March 31, 207.
Travel allowance
Retired persons have been given relief on this front by the Central Government. Retired employees will now be able to submit their travel allowance details within 180 days. Earlier, the limit was 90 days. This rule has come into force from June 15.
Pension slips can be sent via e-mail, WhatsApp and SMS
The Modi government has given a big relief to the pensioners and exempted them from going to the banks for their pension slips. The central government's personnel department has told pensioner banks that pensioners can send their pension slips to their mobile numbers, via SMS and via e-mail. Along with that they will also get a pension slip through WhatsApp. The central government said the bank should use the pensioner's register mobile for it. This decision of the central government will provide relief to 3 lakh pensioners. The new rule has been in force since July 1.

The rules of family pension are simpler than before
The government has made the rules of family pension easier than before. Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh announced changes in the rules made by Pension as well as Pensioners Welfare. Under the new rules, the pension will start as soon as the death certificate is received. All other formalities will be completed later.
